There are several ways to translate WordPress and add support for multilingual blog. We can classify these ways in two sets, depending the mechanism used to store the translated content.
- One language per post
- All languages in a single post
The first approach saves internally different posts for the translated languages. That have some benefits and drawbacks. Examples of these plugins are Gengo and WPML Multilingual CMS.
The second approach, saves all the translated content in a single post, using some special tags than a WordPress plugin like qTranslate can identify and handle properly.
Using these plugins from WordPress, you can translate your WordPress blog to multiple languages, including Spanish, English, Japanese, Italian, French or whatever language you want to use.
