Export PuttySSH settings and then import on another machine

If you use PuttySSH to connect via SSH probably you may be interested in copying the settings to another machine.

This article explains step by step how to export the settings and import them in another computer.

Assuming you are on Windows, these steps can be summarized as follows:

1. Open Registry Editor by running “regedit”
2. Look for SimonTatham folder under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham
3. Right click –> Export
4. Save the .reg file anywhere
5. Copy the file to your other Windows computer
6. Execute it and ready
