WordPress is a powerful tool and it brings the possibility to create any kind of websites: simple blogs, CMS, website showcase, and also a business directory website.
Today we are glad to introduce the Business Directory plugin from Square Compass that we are just evaluating in one of our content websites. You can see an example here.
Installing WordPress is a simple task. It is available in common hosting packages and can be installed as a simple installation click. So, this means that you can create a business directory website in just a few minutes.
The Business Directory installation is quite simple, too. You need to add Business Directory plugin into your WordPress installation. Then, you can:
- Create a simple page for your directory listing and add this directory tag [bizdir_directory]
- Place the add form in any desired page, for example in a Join Page. You need to add this tag: [bizdir_addform]
- You can manage your business directory entries under Business Directory menu in wp-admin

I just installed this plugin yesterday. I really like the layout of the directory but what I dislike about this plugin is that it doesn’t allow me to add my own listings from my dashboard.
